I've been really enjoying Mary Ann Moss'(Dispatch from LA) Remains of the Day online journal class. I have completed two books and I am almost finished with a third. This was the first that I made to bring to Art and Soul in Las Vegas this year. The theme was Art and Soul in Wonderland. I disassembled my workshop booklet and incorporated it into the book. I am ready to start journaling. I will use a light colored paint pen on dark pages and visa versa on light pages. We have enjoyed bringing our granddaughter Bailey, to Disneyland many times. Our favorite rides are Alice and the Teacups, can you tell? This fabric is from Spoonflower.com. You can have your art work made into fabric...how cool is that! "There is no trying," said Alice. "One can't believe impossible things." "I daresay you haven't had much practice," said the Queen. "When I was your age, I always did it for half an hour a day. Why, sometimes I've believed as many as six impossible things before breakfast." -Lewis Carroll I will post photos of my Hawaii theme ROTD journal soon!
One evening in March my husband SAID he was taking me out to dinner. Well, after driving for awhile, we ended up in a parking lot with "McCartney Concert" signs all around us. To my surprise and utter amazement...we were going to a Paul McCartney concert (Did I mention it was on my bucket list?)! When it was all over, I could swear it was all a dream, a really good one!
Off to the "Raw Bar" for a healthy smoothie and journaling time in my new ROTD (remains of the day) Hawaii journal I made for Mary Ann Moss' on line class. Loved this class. Will post photos later this week of several I have made.
This cool car was hanging from the ceiling of the Hard Rock Cafe in Lahaina.
You can take a walking headset tour of the works of art on display thru out the Four Season's Maui Resort, which is where we stayed. The massive heads greet you as you arrive.
We also got to visit one of two galleries in the world, solely dedicated to the original art of Peter Max, on Front Street downtown Lahaina, HI. (see my sidebar)
